The MS degree program provides accredited Graduate Athletic Training Education Programs for students who wish to pursue advanced knowledge and research in one of the following areas of specialization:

Entry-Level Graduate Athletic Training Education Program

The Entry-Level Graduate Athletic Training Education Program (EL-GATEP) mission is to prepare graduate students to become BOC certified athletic trainers and scholars in the athletic training profession. For more information about the Athletic Training Profession, visit the NATA website for students.
 
Students who want to become certified athletic trainers must earn a degree from an accredited athletic training curriculum program. The EL-GATEP at the University of Hawaii is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

Post-Professional (Advanced) Graduate Athletic Training Education Program (AATEP)

The Post-Professional (Advanced) Athletic Training Education Program mission is to prepare BOC certified (or certification eligible) students to become scholars and leaders in the athletic training profession. This program is provisionally accredited by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
