Overview of the Program
The Transdisciplinary Motor Learning Clinic for Young Children was established in 2002 with support from the University of Hawaii's Educational Improvement Fund, College of Education (COE) and Department of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science (KRS). The Clinic's objectives are:

Disciplines within the University
Any University of Hawai'i at Manoa academic program may advise majors to participate in this program. The transdisciplinary nature of this Motor Learning Clinic makes it unique. While the focus of this clinic includes those physical activities commonly associated with the preparation of teachers of physical education, those majoring in related disciplines of study are encouraged to utilize and develop their unique teaching skill and strategies by participating in this program.
Registration
Registration for this clinic occurs at the beginning (i.e., first two weeks) of each semester [fall and spring]. The actual clinic becomes operational starting approximately the third week, ending two weeks before final exams for a total of 10 weeks.
The Motor Learning Clinic operates twice a week from 3:00-4:30. To pursue registration, file an application with the Department of KRS, College of Education. Children will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis with a maximum number of 40 children per semester. The following criteria apply:

Facilities/Equipment
The Transdisciplinary Motor Learning Clinic for Young Children is housed at Klum Gymnasium in the lower campus. This facility offers gross and fine motor equipment, and sports and recreation opportunities with the potential to increase physical activity levels in children through a structured environment.
