The COEAA is one of the largest constituent groups of the University of Hawaii Alumni Association (UHAA) having a potential membership of 22,000 educators worldwide. As a constituent group of UHAA, members can join the UHAA as a dual member and enjoy the benefits of COEAA as well as those of the larger organization.

New members receive an official UH Alumni License Plate Frame, membership card, and Malamalama, UH award-winning magazine. They also receive UHM Kennedy Theatre Coupons, Leeward Community College Theatre Discounts, UHM Season Athletics Tickets. Alumni are also eligible to join the UH Federal Credit Union. Members receive other special discounts on Auto Insurance, Term Life and Short Term Medical Insurance, Automobile Rental, Hotel Rooms and Travel. In addition, the COEAA holds special events and activities such as the UHAA and COEAA Receptions, Distinguished Alumni Awards.
